What is Nazra Quran?
Nazra (also spelled Nazira or Nazirah) means reading the Quran directly from the Mushaf with correct pronunciation, rather than from memory. It is the stage after Noorani Qaida and before Hifz, and it is where a student builds real reading fluency. Most students complete a full Khatm in 1 to 2 years with three classes a week.
The curriculum, step by step
We teach from the Mushaf your family already owns, so your child practises at home from the same pages they read in class.
IndoPak or Uthmani? We teach both.
This trips up more families than anything else, and almost no academy mentions it. If your child learns on one script and your home Mushaf uses the other, the page looks unfamiliar and progress stalls.
| IndoPak (13/15/16-line) | Uthmani (Madani) | |

Tell us which Mushaf you own at enrolment and we will match the teacher and the on-screen pages to it.
What is the difference between Nazra and Hifz?
Nazra is reading the Quran from the Mushaf with correct pronunciation. Hifz is memorizing it. Most students complete Nazra first, because fluent reading makes memorization far faster and more accurate.
How long does Nazra take?
With three classes a week, most children complete a full Khatm in 1 to 2 years, depending on age, starting fluency and how much they practise at home.
The Khatm milestone
Completing the first full reading is a genuine family occasion, often marked with an Ameen ceremony. We track progress Juz by Juz so you can see it coming, and we send a completion certificate when your child finishes.

Still have a question? Talk to a real person, any time of day or night.
What does Nazra mean?
Nazra means reading the Quran by looking at the Mushaf, as opposed to reciting from memory. Some families call it Nazira or simply Quran reading.
Should my child do Nazra before Hifz?
In almost all cases, yes. Memorizing before reading is fluent leads to slow, error-prone Hifz that is hard to correct later.
Do you teach from the IndoPak Mushaf?
Yes, and from the Uthmani Madani Mushaf. Tell us which one you have at home.
How long until my child completes a Khatm?
Typically 1 to 2 years with three classes a week, starting from a finished Qaida.
Is Tajweed included in Nazra?
Yes, applied practically. Your child learns the rules by using them while reading, and can take a dedicated Tajweed course alongside.
Can adults join Nazra classes?
Yes. Adult Nazra is one of our most requested courses, especially from parents who learned as children and lost fluency.
Do you give a certificate for Khatm?
Yes, and most families mark it with an Ameen celebration at home or at their masjid.
Fluent reading changes everything that comes after it.
