It’s 5:30 on a Tuesday…
Your son just got back from practice, your daughter has a science project due, and dinner isn’t ready. Sunday school covers maybe ten minutes of actual reading. The masjid program has a waitlist. And you keep thinking: they’re growing up so fast, when will they read the Quran properly?
Parents in Houston, Chicago, Northern Virginia and small towns across America ask us the same question every week. One-on-one online classes solve it in a way weekend and group programs can’t.
How do I find a good Quran teacher for my child?
Look for a teacher with a verified Ijazah, experience teaching children, clear English, and availability during your child’s after-school hours. The academy should let you sit in, offer a free trial, and send regular progress reports.
Is an online Quran class good for kids?
Yes, when it’s one-on-one, short and interactive. The teacher corrects every mistake in real time and adjusts the pace to your child, which is why many kids progress faster online than in group classes.

“My child can’t sit still.” Here’s how we keep kids engaged.
Many kids who struggle in Quran class aren’t struggling with the Quran. They’re struggling with a teaching style that doesn’t fit how they learn.
- Short segments: new lesson, practice, revision and a quick game or story
- Visual tools: digital whiteboard, colour-coded Tajweed, letter animations
- Movement breaks that reset focus for younger kids
- Small, visible wins: stars, badges and a growing progress chart
- Gentle correction, calm and immediate, never embarrassing
- Choice: kids often pick which Surah to review first
Can kids with ADHD or attention difficulties learn Quran online?
Many can, and one-on-one classes are often a better fit than groups because the teacher adjusts pace and structure moment to moment. We offer shorter sessions, more breaks and highly visual lessons, and match your child with a teacher experienced with attention challenges. We’re not a therapy provider, so we’re happy to work alongside strategies your child’s doctor or school already uses.
A schedule that fits the American school day
What’s the best time for kids’ Quran classes in the US?
Any hour you like. Most families choose right after school or after dinner, and Hifz students often add 20 to 30 minutes before school for revision.

Online Quran classes for kids: your questions answered
Still have a question? Talk to a real person, any time of day or night.
What age can my child start online Quran classes?
Most children are ready at 4 or 5, when they can focus for about 20 minutes. The free trial includes an assessment, so we’ll tell you honestly if your child is ready.
How long does it take a child to learn to read the Quran?
Most children finish Noorani Qaida in 4–8 months and read fluently from the Mushaf within 1–2 years with three classes a week. Consistency matters more than speed.
Can my child do Hifz while going to public school?
Yes. Our part-time Hifz uses short daily sessions before or after school. Most part-time students complete Hifz in 3 to 5 years.
What does my child need for online classes?
A laptop or tablet with a camera, stable internet, headphones for younger kids, and a quiet spot. We share the Qaida or Mushaf pages on screen.
Should I sit with my young child during class?
For ages 5–6, we recommend a parent nearby for the first few weeks, mainly to help with the device. Most kids become independent quickly.
Can I choose a female teacher for my son or daughter?
Yes. Female teachers are available for boys and girls at no extra cost.
What if my child doesn’t like the teacher?
Tell us, and we’ll introduce a new teacher at no cost.
Do you give certificates?
Yes. Children receive a certificate for each completed level, from Noorani Qaida to Hifz.

“The best of you are those who learn the Quran and teach it.”, Sahih al-Bukhari 5027
Give your child the Quran, without adding stress to your week.
Twenty or thirty minutes a few times a week, with a teacher who knows your child by name. One day you’ll hear them recite in Salah and know it was worth it.
