Who we are

Alkohi Quran Academy provides live, one-on-one online Quran, Tajweed, Hifz, Arabic and Tafseer classes to families, primarily in the United States.

Enrolment

A parent or guardian must enrol any student under 18 and is responsible for the account, payments and scheduling. By enrolling you confirm the information you give us is accurate.

Classes

• Classes are live, one-on-one, and 30 minutes by default unless another length is agreed
• Classes are delivered over Zoom or Google Meet in a private room
• You choose your teacher and may change at any time at no cost
• Parents may observe any class

Your responsibilities

• Provide a device with a camera and a stable internet connection
• Join on time, and give notice when you cannot attend
• Treat teachers with respect; abusive conduct ends the arrangement
• Do not record a teacher without their knowledge and consent

Our responsibilities

• Provide qualified teachers whose credentials we have verified
• Keep to your scheduled local time, including through Daylight Saving changes
• Give advance notice of any teacher absence, and reschedule or credit the class
• Send class notes and monthly progress reports
• Follow our published safeguarding policy

Payment

Plans are billed monthly in advance. Full details, including discounts, cancellation and refunds, are in our Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Intellectual property

Worksheets, reports and materials we create remain ours and are provided for your family personal use. You may not resell, republish or distribute them. Recordings of your own classes are yours to keep for personal use.

Certificates and Ijazah

Course certificates confirm completion of our own course levels. An Ijazah is granted by an individual certified teacher according to the standards of that chain of transmission, not automatically on completing a course.

Suspension

We may suspend or end an account for non-payment, abusive behaviour toward a teacher, or misuse of our platform. Where we end an arrangement without cause, we refund any unused portion of the month.

Limits

We teach the Quran to the best professional standard we can. We do not guarantee a specific timeline, examination result or level of memorization, because those depend heavily on the student practice and consistency.

Changes

We may update these terms. Enrolled families are notified of significant changes by email at least 30 days in advance.
