Still have a question? Talk to a real person, any time of day or night.
What age can my child start Quran classes?
Most children are ready to begin Noorani Qaida between ages 4 and 5, once they can concentrate for about 20 minutes. Our free placement class will tell you honestly whether your child is ready.
How much do online Quran classes cost in the USA?
Most US academies charge $30 to $80 a month for 30-minute one-on-one classes. Our plans are $30, $50 and $70 a month, with no surcharge for female or Arab teachers and a 10% sibling discount.
Is the free trial really free?
Yes. One full 30-minute class with no card details and nothing to cancel afterwards.
Can I choose a female Quran teacher?
Yes. Our female teachers are qualified Alimas, and you can book them at any hour that suits you, at no extra cost.
Are online Quran classes safe for children?
They are when the academy verifies teacher identity, publishes a safeguarding policy, lets parents observe any class and allows free teacher changes. We do all four, and you can read our full policy.
What is an Ijazah?
An Ijazah is a formal certification from a qualified scholar confirming that a person recites the Quran correctly and is authorized to teach it, usually with a Sanad going back to the Prophet ﷺ.
What time zones do you teach in?
Eastern, Central, Mountain, Pacific, Alaska and Hawaii. Your class is booked in your local time and stays there when Daylight Saving Time changes.
What is the difference between Nazra, Tajweed and Hifz?
Nazra is reading fluently from the Mushaf, Tajweed is the rules of correct pronunciation, and Hifz is memorization. Most students learn them in that order after Noorani Qaida.
How long does Noorani Qaida take?
Most children finish in 4 to 8 months with three classes a week. Adults often finish in 3 to 5 months.
How long does it take to memorize the Quran?
Part-time students typically take 3 to 5 years and full-time students 2 to 3 years. Consistent daily revision matters more than hours of new memorization.
Can my child do Hifz while attending public school?
Yes. Part-time Hifz uses 25 to 40 minutes daily, usually before school, with a short evening revision.
What are Makharij?
Makharij al-Huruf are the articulation points in the throat, tongue, lips and nasal passage where each Arabic letter is produced. They are the foundation of Tajweed.
What are Sabaq, Sabqi and Manzil?
Sabaq is the new daily lesson, Sabqi is revision of recent lessons, and Manzil is ongoing review of everything memorized so far.
What are Nahw and Sarf?
Nahw is Arabic syntax, how words combine and why endings change. Sarf is morphology, how words are built from three-letter roots. Together they let you understand the Quran in Arabic.
What is the difference between Tafseer and translation?
A translation gives the meaning of the words. Tafseer explains context, reasons for revelation and how scholars have understood each verse.
Do you teach from the IndoPak or Uthmani Mushaf?
Both. We teach from whichever Mushaf your family uses at home, and match the on-screen pages to it.
Which riwayah do you teach?
Hafs ʿan ʿAsim, the most widely used recitation. Other Qira’at can be arranged for advanced students.
I learned the Quran as a child and forgot. Where do I start?
With a placement assessment rather than page one of the Qaida. Most adults retain letter recognition, so relearning is usually half the time of starting fresh.
Is it too late to learn as an adult?
No. Adults often progress faster than children because they can study independently between classes.
Can new Muslims start from zero?
Yes. Our revert track starts at the very first Arabic letter, explained in plain English, with Salah taught alongside.
How do I know my child is improving if I cannot read Arabic?
You get Notes after each class in plain English and a monthly report with before-and-after recitation audio, so you can hear the change yourself.
Can I sit in on my child’s class?
Yes, any class, any time, without asking first.
Will my child have the same teacher every week?
Yes. If a teacher is ever unavailable we tell you in advance and arrange a qualified substitute.
What if my child does not like their teacher?
Tell us and we will move them to a new teacher, usually within the same week, at no cost.
What platform do you use?
Zoom or Google Meet, in a private room created for each class. Classes are one-on-one, not group rooms.
What equipment do we need?
A laptop or tablet with a camera, stable internet, headphones for younger children and a quiet spot.
How many days a week should we book?
Three is the sweet spot for most students. Hifz students usually need five, and two is enough for a gentle start.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. There is no contract and no notice period. Cancel before your next billing date.
What if I am not satisfied?
We refund you.
Can I pause classes for travel or Ramadan?
Yes. Tell admissions and we pause billing rather than charge for classes you cannot attend.
Do you offer sibling discounts?
Yes, 10% from the second child onwards, applied automatically.
Do you give certificates?
Yes, for each completed course level, and a full Ijazah with Sanad for advanced Tajweed students.
Still have a question we have not answered?
WhatsApp our admissions team and get a straight answer from a person, usually within the hour.
