It started with one mother’s question.
“My son has been in online Quran classes for two years. Why can’t he read a single page without help?”
She had done everything right. Paid on time, logged him in every evening, trusted the academy. But the teacher changed three times, classes ran at 11 PM her time, and nobody ever told her what her son was actually learning.
We kept hearing versions of that story. A dad in Houston whose daughter cried before every class. A revert sister in Minneapolis too embarrassed to ask questions. Parents who couldn’t read Arabic and had no way to know if the teacher was any good.
So we built the academy those families were looking for. Real, named teachers with real credentials. Classes when American kids are actually home. And parents who never have to guess.

How do I know an online Quran academy is legit?
A trustworthy online Quran academy shows you each teacher’s real name and qualifications, publishes its prices, lets you sit in on classes, and offers a free trial without asking for payment details. If an academy hides any of these, keep looking.
Five beliefs that shape every class
The Quran should feel like a gift, not a chore
Many adults remember Quran class as strict and scary. Our teachers correct gently, celebrate small wins, and make sure every child leaves class more confident than they arrived.
Correct recitation comes first
Every student builds a proper foundation: Arabic letters, Makharij, and Tajweed rules like Noon Sakinah, Qalqalah and Madd, before moving on to memorization.
One teacher, one student, one clear plan
Group classes let quiet kids hide. Every student gets a placement assessment, a personal plan and the same teacher every class.
Understanding matters too
Reading beautifully is the beginning. Quranic Arabic grammar and Tafseer help students understand what they recite in Salah.
Parents are partners
Notes after each class and recorded progress updates on request, so you hear the progress even if you don’t read Arabic.
A clear sequence, starting wherever you are today
Fewer than 1 in 5 applicants make it onto our team.
Every teacher passes five checks before teaching a single class, and is reviewed every quarter through parent feedback, class observations and student progress.
Credential check
Ijazah, Sanad and formal Islamic education verified directly.
Recitation assessment
Reviewed by our Academic Director for Tajweed accuracy.
Live teaching demo
With a real child, observed by our team.
Identity & background verification
Before any access to students.
Training
Child safeguarding, teaching American kids, digital classroom tools and our code of conduct.
What does “Ijazah certified” actually mean?
An Ijazah is a formal certification from a qualified scholar confirming that a person recites the Quran correctly and is authorized to teach it. It usually comes with a Sanad, a chain of teachers going back to the Prophet ﷺ. It’s the most important credential to look for in a Tajweed or Hifz teacher.
